Property Qualifications: Regardless of where you live, a transaction must have a value of AT LEAST $1,000,000 to qualify as a luxury property. If your market typically closes luxury homes at higher than $1,000,000, your market basis will be set at the price point of the top 10% of closed transactions in your market area. If your market typically closes luxury homes at lower than $1,000,000, your market basis will be set at $1,000,000.
